For The Silent, a nonprofit organization that fights sex trafficking in East Texas, will be speaking on the human trafficking epidemic in our state and how it is specifically affecting our area. As health care providers, we are often the first professionals to have contact with those who are in captivity, and its important that we know how to identify and help these victims. Please join us to learn more about this problem and how to help battle it.

Conference Learning Outcome Statement:
The Registered Nurse and Advance Practice RN working with women and newborn will know the current and evidence-based approaches for assessing and managing their health issues to improve and strengthen clinical practices to achieve the highest quality patient outcomes. Topics included in this conference are breast-feeding, maternal mortality & morbidity, postpartum hemorrhage and depression, S.A.N.E. Nursing, essential oils, and MEWS. They will also recognize best care practices, requirements and standards for the maternal levels of care.
